Problems with downloads dashboard

I am actually on my 20 reinstall of the Sims 3 through the EA App. I have used Revo Uninstaller to  make sure its totally uninstalled. Every time I go to install Sims 3 store items through downloads dashboard I cannot install them. It will not log into the sims 3 store. I have re downloaded everything direct from sims 3 store numerous times, logged out, logged in numerous times. Now as much as I do have a very good PC it is getting tired and I really do need to build a new one. This is driving me crazy and I am ready to throw this game through the window. Worked fine before the very small update in January. I have read  many forums and tried their work arounds etc but to no avail. The only custom content I have is through the sims 3 store I do not use mods at all.

Please hit me with what worked for you (if it did)

    I'm sorry I have taken so long to reply. what you suggest I had already done, in fact when I looked I have actually spent over 20 hours on this. 

    Anyway I gave it one last try only when loading up the game I had forgotten to add all the expansion packs on. It was just the base game. The game couldn't connect to the sims 3 store but by only loading the base game it went through no problem . So I sat for around 10 hours and installed everything, no way was I restarting again. The only issue I have is it will not keep me logged into the store I have to log in every time I launch to game but its not an issue as I have all the sims 3 store items. 

    The game is now working brilliant with no problems at all (touch wood). I have wondered if there is a slightly corrupt file in one of the expansion packs which stops it connecting or a conflict with another file.

    Hopefully this will help anyone else who has this issue.

  • Changkra​  What happens if you download ONE item from the Sims 3 Store website and try to install it through the launcher?  If it doesn't work, move the entire Sims 3 user folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop and try again.  This will remove, but not delete, your saves and other content, all of which can be restored later.

    If you get an error, please post a screenshot, and either way, describe what happens if the content doesn't install properly.

  • Changkra​  That is very strange and really shouldn't happen.  But at least you got it fixed.

    You don't need to connect to the Store while playing if you don't want to.  Just skip the login.  The rest of the game plays fine without this connection, and your Store content should still work.
