Are you installing the download version or the disc one ? There's no need to redeem any codes again, you just redownload from the Origin client and the installation process will ask you for your code again but there it should work.
If it doesn't, contact customer suppport

- Describe your issue with a few words
- Select Product: The Sims 3
- Select Category: Billing/Purchasing or Account Management
- Select Platform: PC
- Click Find solution
- Scroll down and click I still need help
- Click Chat Now to chat with a Game Advisor
