Questions about Expansion Packs
Greetings fellow Sims players! I've been playing the base game Sims 3 for a long time now, and I want to buy at least one expansion pack, but I'm unsure of how much available space I need on my computer.
It is to my understanding that one expansion pack, for my computer, requires "At least 6.1 GB of hard drive space with at least 1 GB of additional space for custom content and saved games"
Here's my question: If I get three expansion packs, does this mean I have to have 18.3 GB of hard drive space and at least 3 GB of additional space for custom content and saved games??
To reiterate: If I get three expansion packs, do I have to have three times more hard drive space?
Also: do traits, objects, interactions, etc. carry over through all expansion packs? For example, the Ambitions expansion (the second one produced) adds the trait Eco-Friendly to your game. If I get the Generations expansion (the fourth one produced) BUT NOT the Ambitions expansion, will Eco-Friendly still be available in Generations?
To clarify: are traits listed in earlier expansion packs, like Eco-friendly from Ambitions, also carried through to later expansion packs, like Generations?

Yes, with the hardrive space, it does work roughly like that. The Expansion Packs do have their own each individual space usage.
WIth your second question, the answer is no. Things are unique to each expansion pack and do not carry through. You may get some items/traits that are shared with other expansion packs, but generally not.
