re invalid file found, udate patch failure

I have tried numerous times to update to the lastest patch from 2/19.2015 game keeps asking me to udate and I keep getting invalid file found, update failed. i Have sims showtime installed, i tried uninstalling showtime and reinstalling...patch keep failing to install. help please

    There is a problem in the latest patch if you update thru the launcher. The manual cumulative super patch works. You can download at the first post in technical forum at thesims3.com. Direct link to patch - patch 1.50
