registeration code is bad

Question

My son bought a physical copy of Sims 3 with an expansion pack of supernatural expansions. After numerous failures to download from the cd I found this site. The code for the expansion supernatural expansion pack registered fine, but the sims 3 code is invalid. I am extremely upset, have now spent 5 hours trying to donwload this dumb game for him and he can't play it at all! I'm even more upset because apparently, phyical copies cannot be returned. Thanks for stealing a kid's allowance!!!!
