Registration code
I recently purchased the sims 3, and it’s having me put in a registration code, but no where in my emails do I have a code, just a purchase confirmation?

@hailstorm2123 Are you playing in Windows or macOS? It sounds like you're installing on a Mac, or trying to, and using the 32-bit version, but please let me know. Please also tell me where you bought the game if not directly from EA.
I’m playing on Mac, and when installing the 32 bit game it downloaded fine, but now it’s asking for a 5 digit registration code? I got on EA chat and they said I shouldn’t need a code….so why’s it asking for one? I did purchase right off of the EA website
@hailstorm2123 It's actuall a 20-character code: five boxes that receive four characters each. When you first download the game through Origin, and you go to launch the outside installer, you should see a message that includes the code:
Copy that code, then paste it when the installer asks for it.
If you didn't see this code, you might be able to see it again if you close Origin and the installer and restart your computer.
I think I was able to figure it out! I didn’t receive a 20 character code either but I was on chat with EA help AGAIN this morning and was able to get it! Installing now so fingers crossed for me! Thanks so much for your help!!
