Requires missing expansion?

Hm... well, do you try to instal some expancion??

Not yet, because my internet connection is slow, I don't want take a lot time to try while I don't know to install which expansion.

BIG weakness is the lack of info as to which Expansion Pack is missing. I've just about given up downloading from the Exchange. I'm not about to buy every EP there is. My patience is beginning to fray.

It does say which EPs you need in the Exchange itself. There's a box next to each downlad saying it requires Expansion packs. If you click on that, it tells you which ones.

Also, it's not much of an issue. If you don't have the stuff, it's simply replaced with something similar. It's just a warning.

I know this is an extreme necro-post but I was having the same issue and had some additional information to contribute.

I had the exact same issue with two items from the exchange but I own and had installed every expansion pack and stuff pack. My items wouldn't install until I activated (checked) the appropriate expansion pack in the Sims 3 Launcher "Expansions & Stuff" menu and then it installed properly. So if you have the expansion pack installed and are still having the issue make sure it is activated in the launcher.
