Roaring Heights & Boardwalk Install Issues
I recently purchased the new Roaring Heights (Gold) and spent the SP on the Boardwalk venue. Tried to install it yesterday through the launcher several times (maybe 20-25) and it would not install. Tried again today, same thing. This is exactly, step by step, what is happening:
1. I log in to the Sims 3 website.
2. I go to Store>Store Account>Purchase History.
3. I see both Roaring Heights and the Boardwalk venue (no Boardwalk attire though, I assumed that would be in with the world?)
4. I press "Download".*
5. The launcher appears, goes to the downloads tab and stops.**
6. Two out of three times when I attempt to close the launcher, it tells me something is downloading. BUT NOTHING IS.***
*At first, I tried to download them both at the same time. When that didn't work, I thought, "Hmm, okay, I'll try one at a time." Same result. So then I tried to download them from their store pages instead of my purchase history. Same result.
**Maybe 1/2 of them time, the launcher froze. The other half of the time, it would continue to run as normal.
***I know what it's like when something IS downloading. I have store content out the wazoo and have never had this problem. I don't know what happening, but I know something is stopping it from working.
I run Windows 8 and use Google Chrome for internet. I also do not typically use the launcher, I bypass it by running the application itself, but my game is up to date. If needed I can post my DX DIAG but I don't want to if its unnecessary so let me know, I guess. Thanks in advance.
