Roomate feature with Sims 3 University

1 the game allows up to 8 sims just like a regular lot

2 the way to pick and choose roommates is to use roommate services on a phone, select the real estate and travel Services option, and then select “Roommate Services”.

3 SimGuruSemedi has info here on how to build apartment  ( you need to use cheats and room markers so if you want to try the apartment building  start a new game till you get the hang of it )

you'll need to go to edit town to set the lot type to apartment  I usually throw two of the late night apartments into my worlds if I just place the lot as it'll be a residential  lot  so use the drop down menu to set the lot type to apartment

if you don't want the roommates to use your bed click on the bed and set ownership of the bed  i.e. your sim  to who uses the bed and if you don't want roommates to enter your room click on the door and set it lock to everyone but me

in image 2 the map tags for both my late night apartments one residential one apartment  in the apartment in this game I'm playing I don't control that apartment the game put roommates in that apartment   there are four living in that apartment
