serious error upon trying to load into sunset valley

hello! i just downloaded the sims 3 on my laptop and it has not been able to load into the open world. this happened on a different account of mine and i thought buying it on a new account would work, but it did not. i previously tried removing the sims 3 folder from documents (or whatever folder i can’t remember) and i could play, but it did not save. please help!!! i just want to play the sims 3 💔
