Sims 3 - 16 digit code needs to be 20 digits

I have purchased my Sims 3 starter pack from a store and I have been given a 16 digit code rather than the 20 digit code that is suggested. I have tried entering it in Origin where I was then forwar...

    Just to add to this thread if  you have any problems or the above steps don't work for you then

    For this you will need to contact Origin/EA support they will gladly help you whit this problem  https://help.ea.com/en/origin go here press contact as give information press I still need help at the bottom of the page and then press start live chat and you will get a live chat whit an EA agent that will be glad to help you

    Yeah i have followed the instructions from EA and they have not worked so i will have to contact them. Thanks for your help!

    Also just to clariify i have purchaced the Sims 3 starter pack and it is not an expansion pack - should i have recieved a 20 digit code rather than the 16?

      20 digit for the starter/base game,16 digit is for expansion pack.

       

      So you need a 20 digit code,if you buy from store,not ORIGIN,you need to go back to the store to get the 20 digit code from them
