SIMS 3 - Invalid Base Game Code from Steam and Missing Free Sim Points
I recently bought Sims 3 together with 11 Expansion Packs (Ambitions, Late Night, Generations, Pets, Seasons, University Life, World Adventures, Showtime, Island Paradise, Supernatural, Into the Future) from Steam. All of the EP codes were successfully registered but my base game code was said to be invalid; hence, Sims 3 Base Game is not officially registered on my Sims 3 Store Page. I already contacted support once regarding my invalid Base Game code, but they said that there were no problems with me not registering it as it shows that I do own the base game somewhere in the database, I guess? Moreover, when I successfully registered my EPs, such as World Adventures, it prompted me to redeem my free Sim Points through my Sims 3 Store Page. I went to check the page and there was no redeem button for my free Sim Points. I also sent another ticket to customer service but they said that I should try uninstalling my Sims 3 and EA app to troubleshoot, and that I post here in the forums.
For clarification, I am able to play the game without any problems. My only issues are that I could not redeem my free Sim Points, and that my base game isn't officially registered in the Sims 3 Store Page due to invalid registration code from steam (which may be one of the reasons why I could not redeem my free Sim Points or that there is a bug in the Store Page itself and not with my game. I am not sure). Customer Service said that they will escalate the issue to the studio which I am grateful for, but I am a bit disappointed of the outcome of my support ticket. My issues were not solved, and that I do not understand the need to uninstall my Sims 3 and EA app if my issues do not concern gameplay. I have thousands of CCs and several Mods installed and uninstalling the game might corrupt my data. Backing up my files is quite tedious and I heard that uninstalling Sims 3 with EPs in Steam is a bit wonky too.
I just hope that it won't take much of a long time before the corresponding team looks into my support ticket issues. I am worried that it may take a very long time or that I might get ignored by EA with regards to my problem. 😞 If anyone has a similar problem or knows how this could be fixed, my thanks and appreciation are with you forever.
