sims 3 64 bits not working
Can someone please help me. I downloaded the sims 3 64 bits on origin on my macbook but every-time i try to open it the launcher comes up but then i press the play button and it says error sims 3 base game is not compatible with the expansion packs. I didnt even download the expansion packs I had and it keeps coming up .i have tried everything i have deleted all files from the old sims 3 and ive tried to move the folder out of ea documents and ive tried to delete the versiontag file but nothings working. Ive installed and uninstalled so many times but I just dont know what the problem is with the 64 bits sims 3. My macbook is updated to macOS BigSur. Please someone help me i have tried everything and EA support is no help.
@maryamm7221 Please make sure you're deleting the correct Version.tag file, not a copy in iCloud. Open a Finder window and click Macintosh HD in the left panel, then open Users > your username > Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 3. If you don't see Macintosh HD, click Finder in the upper-left corner of the screen and select Preferences > Sidebar, then check the box next to hard disks.
If this doesn't help, please let me know whether there's a Sims 3 folder at all in the file path above, and if there is, move it to the desktop (or just rename it) and try to play again.
