Sims 3 Ambitions

I have the Sims 3 Ambitions expansion pack, which I bought several years ago. I want to install it on my computer, but it keeps giving me an error saying that something on the disc is unreadable. is there a way I can download this expansion pack through EA or Origin and use the product key I have to install it without needing the disc? Is there maybe another way to install the game without having to buy it again?

    @92d6f05904be6344 If you have the product key, and it has not been used on Origin or EA App yet, you can redeem it in EA App by opening your game library and clicking the Redeem Code button.
