Sims 3 Can't Pass Select a Town/Family
Problem
As of right now, when I launch my game I view the opening and the screen loads. Everything works fine up until the screen where you can see the families and choose a town. There are no towns selectable (they are simply blank when I try to view the list.) The (...) button at the bottom has no text, when I press it, it gives me a blank list that I cannot click. When I click the check mark, nothing happens. I can't selected anything, I can't add a family. Nothing works from there on.
Failed Fixes
To aviod someone giving me an advice that I have already attempted I compiled a list of things I've already done.
- DCCache & DCBackup (although on the DDCache I've tried deleting the a file that started with m, it was like missingsomethingsomething I also attempted replacing it, by that I mean I tried putting my old file into the new one, which prevented the launcher from opening
- Restore to factory settings (basically uninstalling I guess.)
- Delete custom content
Extra Notes
The expansion packs I own are, Late Night and High End Loft, which is the starter pack. Also, I do not have mods.
I have owned this same set previously and it has worked fine in the past. I uninstalled it and reinstalled it, at first nothing would open, not directly or from the launcher. I solved that by going to factor settings. However no, there are no options and the buttons do not work.
