Sims 3 career actions don't work
Hey guys, could you help me? Everything is working fine in my game, except the actions related to my sim's career (which is investigator). She performs all actions I ask her to but she doesn't perform some related to investigating (she can interview people, but she doesn't break in houses or dust for prints). What should I do? I only have the expansions installed; no mods or similar. Help me please ☹️
@amandapegado Try clearing the five cache files in your TS3 game folder in Documents. (They should be cleared regularly even if you don't have game issues, and they'll regenerate each time you play.) For reference, they are:
CASPartCache.package
compositorCache.package
scriptCache.package
simCompositorCache.package
socialCache.package
If that doesn't help, you can go to Edit Town and evict and replace your sim. If you do this without saving your sim and replacing her with the copy from the bin, she'll keep her job and relationships but lose her promised dreams and opportunities (including perhaps any career assignments already in progress). If that doesn't help, go to Edit Town and evict her again, then save her house to the bin, bulldoze the lot, replace it with the bin copy, and move her back in.
By the way, has she reached high enough in the profession to be able to perform all actions? It's been so long since I played an investigator, I don't remember when sims are supposed to gain those options.
