Did you try uninstalling the game??
You mean you have custom content like hair and stuff installed through the launcher but no mods that alter the gameplay ?
Your drivers are 4 years old. Update them. You have a AMD Radeon HD 6370M and you can get the newest one here: http://support.amd.com/en-us/download
Also try if lowering the graphics settings helps.
i3s have a history of overheating. Make sure you have enough cooling and clean out the fans regularly. If it's a desktop, open it up and clean out the dust,
After uninstalling the sims and all the expansion packs, and then re-installing them and adding my mods, the game worked perfectly. I have had now problems since and have even got a new expansion pack (: Thank you for your help!
