I've been playing Sims 3 with a few packs no problem, for a while on a MacBook but since last night my game has been crashing a few minutes into build mode. I've tried repairing the game through the EA App but it hasn't worked, are there any fixes I could try that won't damage my save files?
This is the report I get when the game crashes:
OrchidSimmer711 Does the game crash in live mode too, or only in build mode? Are you doing anything specific at the time, for example trying to place a particular object, or rotating objects you're holding? And does the game crash if you try to build on a different lot?
The error report doesn't say anything useful about the trigger of these crashes. While it lists the type of crash and the memory address, the crash type is generic and the memory address means nothing outside of a live debugging session, since I have know way of knowing what was stored at that address at that time.
It has only crashed in build mode! Weirdly, it is after my save family have moved to a new lot. The first crash happened during a long play session after I moved them into a new house and every time since has been when I have been trying to decorate the new house.
OrchidSimmer711 Then please try a different lot and build, and not one from your in-game bin or from the Exchange. The question is whether the problem is the specific lot or build or is more general.
Hi! I tried this and thought it had work as I was able to play longer but it crashed again in the same way.

Please also list the full specs of your Mac: everything under About This Mac including the operating system and except for the serial number.
