Sims 3 crashing

    Cause opening up a laptop and change a component is usually rather hard to do.

    From you're DxDiag it's a bit hard to tell if you have a switchable card in there (for that prize that could be a possibility). Check if you do by either checking your installed hardware or right clicking on the desktop to see if you have another card in there.

    Not sure what to tell you.

    Updating drivers and lowering everything seems the only solution and if that doesn't help, I don't know.

    You might wanna get a second opinion on the sims3.com though. There's many people that help out there and maybe someone has a different suggestion: http://forum.thesims3.com/jforum/forums/show/10.page

    They will also ask for your DxDiag so either post them there from start or link this thread.
