Sims 3 crashing

As silly and obvious a question as it is, are all your drivers for said graphics card up to date? Sometimes they do patches and you'll have to update the drivers to make everything run smoothly again.

Yes, they are all up to date, thats the first thing i checked 

I read this on one topic that is solved... i try to follow this steps.. but honestly i stop understanding it at step number 5.. I did all steps on the first link.. i did the DxDiag, i even installed the Everest Home Edition to make ir "easy" but there are too many steps, i loose myself on all that instruccions.. i thought maybe those patching instructions where the shortcut but i really dont know anymore.. i dont know what instructions to follow up..

Please make sure to backup your original files. You will need to replace them with the originals before you patch or install an EP and then re-add your changes to the new file. Check if EA has added your card themselves before doing so.

Patching Instructions if you did this

1. Make sure you know what you changed before
2. Make a copy of the GraphicCards.orig file to your desktop from wherever you stored it.
3. Make a copy of the GraphicsRules.orig file to your desktop from wherever you stored it.
4. Rename both files so that they have the .sgr extension: GraphicCards.sgr and GraphicsRules.sgr
5. Move the files from the Desktop to [installation directory]\thesims3\Game\Bin
6. Patch the game and/or install the EP.
7. Re-Add your changes

Hi, my game crashes after being playing over an hour, meanwhile it frezees... i follow up some steps in some topic "solved".. iv done the DxDiag and this shows:

- How can i open that file? which program i should use?.. i cant open it

The instructions given below only have to be done if you did it already and there's a new patch since new patches usually make the changes useless and you have to re-do them.

We do need your DxDiag first and you can't attach files here so you need to open the text file and copy/paste it in  here.
