it could just be as simple as this the emulation software is conflicting with the sims...i don't know if this will help i'm just throwing out there does your daughter have a lap top ? if the games are registered in your origin you can download the digital versions of your games from origin to the laptop or pc as the case maybe, i'll assume for now it's your origin account so download origin then log in with email and password associated with the account
right click the game icon-download
edit to add the email and pasword are the same as the sims 3 account
