thanks for your reply this is a similar issue but not quite the same. Now I cannot start any other downloads OR cancel the one that is in progress.
I had no issues for like 5-10 minutes after I contacted support, support fixed this pack for me and it began downloading and then 5 minutes later it stopped.
As much as I would love to use this content, the reason I even took the discs off the shelf was because the grand-person who gifted me them passed away and I was remembering Christmases with the person and how they got me it as a gift.
I decided to just play my DS and wii sims games instead for now, I was just going to play the base game sims or with my other packs but it will not let me(app glitches??but I deleted and reinstalled and stuff?)
I just find this ridiculous seeing as it is mine, and has been on the shelf for years. I have owned every version of the sims starting at sims 2 because I was too young for sims 1, and many expansions, plus the ds and gameboy and xbox and even wii sims castaways versions of the game, literally like all of them except not all the mobile apps I just played one. I just want the download actually canceled because it will not cancel in my ea app and I can't download something else. This issue was caused by me contacting support when my activation code in the manual did not work and then the content was added through support somehow, began downloading and then was removed. If they didn't add it to the account I would not have had this problem, if they told me it was unavailable I would be upset but my app downloads would not be broken.
Is the only solution re-buying it? All support was able to ask was info for verifying an old account, which as I said before is complicated due to them not being around. I don't have access to that info and maybe someday I will be able to access it if it is written down somewhere but right now I am just grieving and trying to play the sims to make myself feel better.
It feels like I just keep repeatedly contacting support and they keep not understanding my issue is that I cannot stop the download or start the one for 'late night' to play any version of my sims 3 game (my sims 3 starter pack code worked fine, most of my codes on the shelf did just two had issues). I would love to play with the pets pack and re-buy it someday maybe but now I am just trying to play the game at all. Rebuying it at this point in time is sadly not an option for me and frankly feels very insulting as someone with no hours left spent their hours working to buy me the sims pets expansion and see me open it and get so happy. To think that that product is gone is just tragic, especially when the support agent added it and then it got 'removed'. Like even buying the same product again isn't the same so I just want my downloads fixed.
