sims 3 doesn't launch

As a side note, if you did originally use the Alder Lake patch, repairing the game would have removed the patch's fix and reintroduced the issue.

im on a laptop running an intel i3 processor, idk if that's 12th-gen or not though!! i ran my dxdiag and have attached it here. Lastly, with the Alder Lake patch, I'm not sure if i ever used it. i rebought ts3 on a new ea account after not playing since childhood, i dont remember downloading anything besides what EA prompted me to

@simmingonsixam  I wouldn't have thought this particular processor was affected, but the Sims 3 errors in your dxdiag are identical to those from systems that do need the patch.  So please run it.  If it doesn't work, fine, but it won't do any harm, and repairing the game will remove its (very minimal) effects should it come to that.
