Sims 3 doesn't recognize my GTX 1660 Super

I just got a new PC and can't get the Sims 3 to recognize my graphics card, which is NVIDIA GeForce 1660 SUPER. I followed all of the tutorials online but can't figure out why in DeviceConfig it still says [Found: 0, Matched:0]

I've attached screenshots of Device Config and GraphicsCards but I put the text file of GraphicsRules so it'll be easier to see.

I've tried so many variations of text and still can't get it wrong, maybe there's a typo I'm missing? Or maybe I need to add in SUPER in some places but I've tried it and it doesn't work, unfortunately I can't find any tutorials online with my specific graphics card.

If you know what's wrong I'd appreciate your help!

  • @Hirity The correct card name doesn't matter much as long as you use the correct Device ID and have something in GraphicsRules to match the name in the card database. Your files seem to be set up correctly.

I also see that Texture Memory hasn't been updated in the config log although you have set it to 1024 in GraphicsRules, so I have to ask if you have started the game at all since modifying the files. The log only updates once you launch the game.
  • You were right! I thought i only had to open the menu for it, but launching the game fixed it! Now is says one found and one matched. Thank you so much
