Sims 3 download size

My mum's a huge Sims 3 fan, but her CD went rogue on her (it's got a crack). I was thinking of buying her a digital edition, but since she's on a metered internet connection. I'm a little worried about her internet bill. Does anyone here know what the download size of the base game is?

    @janpd24  I'm not sure what the exact size is but it is large. The software on the disc is dated. If you install from disc you will have to download and install the version 1.67 version manual supper patch. Then Origin will patch the game to version 1.69 (the latest version). A guess the TS3 installer is about 6Gb.

    Would you know if it's possible to combine the digital download base game with DVD expansion packs? I don't want to have to buy digital downloads of the expansion packs all over again.

    @janpd24  The dvd expansion packs came with a code. You can redeem these codes in Origin and those packs can then be digitally downloaded. you do not have to repurchase the packs. Once the base game and packs are in Origin you should not have to worry about codes. There is no install limit with Origin as only one person can be logged into Origin at a time and when you upgrade to a new computer all you have to do is download the Origin client and log in with the same login and password as before and your games should be there for download. Much like Steam. I recently bought IP from amazon and all I did was redeem the code and downloaded the pack.

    @janpd24 Hey there! You need at least 6.1 GB of hard drive space with at least 1 GB of additional space for custom content and saved games. Hope this helps! 🙂
