@puzzlezaddict Thank you for the advice, I've tried using this method and still the download doesn't work, origin keeps dowloading the base game (which is already installed) and it says it's "preparing" but nothing changed in like one hour. I've tried 5/6 times but it doesn't work. Now that i uninstalled and reinstalled the game, the problem is that I can't download the old expansions I've bought years ago on origin. Both EA and origin don't download the digital packs i have, it says there's a download error. Basically, during the download it pause and says there's an error and it stops.I tried cleaning the cache but it wasn't helpful. I saw a lot of people fixing this problem uninstalling the game but it didn't work for me, and I tried several times. There's something else I can do if I can't dowload the expansions?
@pulsar1969 Try uninstalling Sims 3 and reinstalling it here:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games
That's the default install location for Origin, and perhaps installing the game there will make Origin recognize it instead of trying to redownload the base game.
Additionally, if you use a third-party antivirus, disable it while trying to install anything, whether through Origin or the EA App.
