Sims 3 is suddenly not working
I am playing the sims 3 on and off for almost 2 years. Today a started the game, and everything was working fine. Then I closed it for 5 minutes and restarted it again. But suddenly it is not working...

I restarted my computer, but it didn't work.
If I rename my sims 3 folder, will i lose my save?
I always play in de offline modus, so I don't think that is the problem.
@TirzaBrands When you rename the Sims 3 user folder, the game can't read your saves anymore, but the saves themselves are still intact. They can be restored later. The point is to test without them though, so please do that.
Playing with the EA App in offline mode is not as thorough as taking your computer offline, so if you're only using offline mode, please do both.
