So everytime I bring my sim to a club or bar and try to order a drink nothing happens! I've tried to reset the mixologist but nothing happens, my sim just stands there waiting for the mixologist to finish grooming himher self and after about half an hour (sim time) the option disappears. What do I do?
Btw no I don't have any mods, but the option worked fine before I recently updated the game.

No, not at all, sadly. I've already read through the entire post.
Bars can be purchased and then work for a while, but it's fairly hit or miss.
Every bar in every building is broken. Every set of lifts to every venue is broken *though the residential ones work* and I can't even buy and replace them because someone's always 'using them' when I try to! I've even tried moveobjects and testingcheats, but there's still a big issue - is there no universal fix, still?
Try the reset sim cheat to reset one sim if you know their name ctrl+shift+c hold all 3 together in the menu bar that appears at the top of the screen type resetsim first name last (of thesim ) hit enter for example my sim is named john dear I type in resetsim john dear
Or reset all the sims at once ctrl+shift+c hold all 3 together in the menu bar that appears at the top of the screen type in resetsim * (hit enter ) this will reset all sims including your own
