Sims 3 Late Night expansion pack missing clubs

I downloaded Sims 3 a few days ago to run on my Mac 2023 edition. Everything works fine but I have run into the issue that the expansion pack that came with the game only shows items, NOT any clubs. I have repaired the game, redownloaded, downloaded the 2 packs (nightlife and high loft) separately but the clubs just do not show up. I am not sure what to do. The packs were saved on an external folder and when I play the sims 3, the launcher does not show I own the packs but shows the small icon on the bottom so I cannot disable/enable them. I am using mac os sequoia which I wonder if that is the issue but I do not know how to acquire the 64 bit version.

  • OneBaked_Brotato  Do you mean the clubs/bars/lounges are not visible on the map, or the buildings aren't present, or something else?  If it would help, please post a screenshot or two.

You are running the 64-bit version of Sims 3 by definition if it even opens in macOS Sequoia, which doesn't run 32-bit apps at all.  The launcher for this version doesn't have a pack selector, unlike the EA App/Windows version.

To remove a pack, you can drag its folder out of the "The Sims 3 Packs" folder, which is wherever you installed the game, in Applications > EA Games by default.  Late Night's folder is EP03.  You can restore the folder later to "reinstall" the pack.  But this wouldn't help in your case since the pack is loading in general.  You could however trash the folder and download LN again to see whether that makes a difference.

Hi! So the clubs do not show on the map at all. If I try to purchase a club that is not an option as well. The items do load just not locations. I’m not at my computer but I can try later.

So, I have nightlife chosen but none of the locations show. All other residents do. From my understanding I don't need to unlock anything except celebrity status so I am not sure what the issue is.

  • OneBaked_Brotato  None of the lots in your screenshot are clubs.  They're not placed by default in Sunset Valley; you'll need to create or place some yourself.  You can check the in-game bin or borrow a build or two from Bridgeport—save it to your library so you can use it anywhere.

If you want to see what clubs look like from Map View, load Bridgeport instead and have a look around.
