- @puzzlezaddict thank you! I will work on that and will definitely ask if i get confused (which is likely to happen)
Is this the same situation with SimCity too? I have been struggling with this since last October--- still no resolution.....
- @katelyncostner It's probably not an issue with Catalina, though there are known issues with The Sims 4 and 16" MacBook Pros. BlueBellFlora has posted some troubleshooting tips on her blog (here: https://bluebellflora.com/2020/02/15/issues-playing-the-sims-4-on-16-macbook-pros/ )
- @SheHasArrived13 I'm not 100% sure if EA is going to release a 64-bit compatible version of SimCity, but Aspyr has definitely posted a 64-bit version of SimCity on the Mac App Store that, tragically, you'll have to buy separately. To this date, I have not heard EA having any plans to distribute this through Origin or update it.
- @VeroniqueBellamy Thank you for the reply. Makes me sad!!
- @SheHasArrived13 Me too. It's just another point where we should have a serious discussion into how much we really "own" our games, not just with DRM schemes and other means which make it harder to play our games, but also how technology itself moves on so that it's harder and harder to play our own games.
Hell, I remember being so upset once Apple removed Rosetta, which effectively killed support for apps and games that were not compiled as a Universal Binary (which was one that could run on both PowerPC and Intel Macs). This is because it killed support for Neverwinter Nights and until Beamdog updated it, I had to figure out a workaround using the Windows version and Wine.
