This is my issue guys. I have followed all of these suggested links before and it continues to happen. I've had the sims since it originally came out and have never had problems until the recent patches. I just think it's absolute crap that users keep having these problems and the developers tend to rely on outside parties to create things to fix it. If I'm going to pay good money for a product I expect it to work without issue everytime there's an update.
I'm trying to no cd mod now after another clean install of only the base game + 1 expansion and problem still happening.
Alright, give the mod a shot. Even though that is not the "absolute" fix, it may help you. If you have any furhter questions about how to use or install the mod, you can ask me.
