So my female character got pregnant. Everything was going great then it was time to have her baby or babies (not really sure because of glitch). She goes to the hospital and has a baby, comes out, I get to name baby and pick out the traites for said baby. Once that is done she goes back into the hospital and gives birth again. It continues this way until I am wondering what is going on because now my family is a family of 10 with 8 babies.I get onto talk to someone and go through 4 different advisers. The first one suggested I reset my sim and that did not work. The second said to clear my game cache, that did not work. The third told me to try loading the game without any of the custom content (problem with that is I don't even have any custom content). The fourth person could not figure out what else to try so she/he sent me here. Does anyone else know how I can fix this glitch and get back to playing my game because until this glitch is fixed I can't play this family and I like this family and I don't want to delete them. Please help.

I know this is an older thread, but I got the same glitch just now......FIXED by making another household active, and inviting my pregnant sim over. I ended up taking her to the hospital when she was in labor, and when I went home after the babies were delivered. Then switched back to the original family and Voila!Everything was as it should be. Albiet, ironically enough, the sim ended up with Twins!

I tried everything, and was really worried I'd have to delete this (long-running) household of mine, but the Harrenses have been saved! Here's what you need to do (In my case there's more than one member in the household and I had deleted the pregnancy moodlet - which you do with 'testingcheatsenabled true' and then ctrl+click the 'Baby Incoming!' moodlet[this is considered a mistake by many]):On the Cheats Window: type "moveobjects on" (without the quotation marks), and hit enter.Change to Buy mode (Make sure the Sim is at 'Home' or the Community Center in "Into the Future")Click on the Sim to have it selecte3d.Hit Delete.Yes, your Sim is now gone! Don't despair, though.Now, with the remaining Sims, travel back to the Past (or, possibly, the Future if you're in the present with these problems).After the loading window, your family should be back in whole. (In my case the Sim appeared at the Home lot, then disappeared and was spat out by the Time Portal after everyone else was already standing.)Yes, this may seem drastic, and no, it hasn't been tested multiple times. However, if you're at the point where you think deleting the family may be your only chance, try this! It may well work for you, too!Happy Simming!

Can you change the active family anyways ? Did you try to wait it out to see if it eventually stops ?

Can you change the active family anyways ?

Did you try to wait it out to see if it eventually stops ?

No I did not wait but it got up to 8 babies at one point. I also don't really know how to change active familys.

Go to edit town (if possible) and click on another family. You should then have the option to make that active.

I just had the same glitch and it drove me mad, couldn't figure out how to fix it. Tried to let it run it's course but after 10 babies, all girls, I decided to take action. Tried switching my active household and moving the pregnant sim there. Then she just had babies there. So I switched to a third active household to try and invite her over, sim didn't know her so couldn't do that. So I said screw it and started tinkering. I switched active households back to the second family where my pregnant sim was. She was no longer pregnant and babies were rampant. I removed my now unpregnant sim from the household and back to my original family, leaving all the babies at the second family. (My babies were spread out between Home and the second family, so it took some moving around...)
Then I deleted the second family with all the babies, poof gone. They werent important anyways. Went back to my original family and boom! Not pregnant, no babies! The father did have the "Just had a baby" moodlet still though. So I saved, exited the game, went back in and everything is back to normal without losing anything.
This is not a tried and true method, but it did work for me. Hope this helps.
Note: I had a couple items from the store installed (TV, DJ Booth etc) so I did uninstall those. I also did not have any cheats enabled in my game.
