Sims 3 seasons error

I have the sims 3 seasons, and my sim and an alien mated and made a new alien that had powers but had no logic or handiness and also did not have the "galaxa space car" when they turned to a young adult. why?  and my sims that the alien mated with is a normal sim witch means he is NOT a vampire werewolf etc.

    Only the aliens that are from outer space come with the logic and handiness skill and have their own spaceship. Alien hybrids born in the Sims world are like "normal" children with additional alien powers.
