Sims 3 seasons performance issues

I have seriously tried everything to get my game running, but when I start creating a sim it shuts down and says the Sims 3 has stopped working.  I have looked up and tried many "solutions" and nothing has worked, I know I have room on my computer memory as well.  Any suggestions?  Before that I already had the Sims 3, Sims 3 night life, and Sims 3 high end merchandise already installed and had no problems until I downloaded Sims 3 seasons and now all my other games do not work too.
