Sims 3 sends me back to EA when I press play in the Launcher

Merry Christmas everyone, 

I recently got a windows 11 laptop (Molegar), for Christmas since I have a Macbook and I'm unable to play the Sims 3 on there. I downloaded my old packs, and also brought $109 worth of packs to complete my collection. 

Whenever I press the 'play' button in the EA app, it takes me to the Sims 3 Launcher, whereas I press 'play' again in the Launcher, there is a pinwheel near my mouse cursor, then it re-launches the EA app again, with the Sims 3 open. It's like an endless cycle. 

I don't have any Mods, I tried making a new folder, installing the "Direct-x" thingy. It's just annoying how EA offers the Sims 3 as purchasable when it barely works, and they don't make an effort to fix their game so it's playable for their players. 

It's really effing stupid how we have to turn into Co-developers and Computer Science majors just to make the game playable. 

If anyone could help me with this problem, I would be in great thanks. I'm also rather new to Windows 11 considering I mainly use Mac's.
