Sims 3 Starter Pack Internet Required???

I just bought The Sims 3 Starter Pack and am having trouble playing the game offline. I have been a big fan of previous Sims games and would like to continue playing them. However, I am at a friend's home so I could complete the initial install and I am starting to think that I will not be able to play this game at home&nbsp;since I do not have internet. Am I doing something wrong or is internet required to play this game? If so, I will have to return this game because I will not own a product that "forces" me to run it online. :womansad:

You have to be online to install the game but not to play it (it does say so on the box).

What issues do you have exactly when trying to play offline ? Were you able to play at your friends house ?&nbsp;

You do need to login into the Origin client but that can be done offline as well.
