Sims 3 Store - "a system error has occurred. Please try again at a later time"

Early this morning I was able to buy and download a world.   About 5am EST I tried to buy and download a second world and got this error.  I have continued to attempt to buy the second world at various times during the day and continue to receive this error which shows up on the Payment Options screen.   The missing required data is card type, expiration date, country and state.  This information is entered and correct in my account details screen. 

I have cleared my browser cache.

Rebooted my machine.

Tried again later many times.

Searched help for answers.  

Confirmed my machine is acceptable.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.   Any ideas?

    Talked to Vipin at EA.   This person was very helpful and tracked the problem well.

    Vipin asked if I had tried another payment method.   I told him that my card number was valid and had not expired.   Vipin set me up to be referred to the special team that handles these kinds of problems.  

    I then decided it wouldn't hurt to try a different credit card number.  At least then I would be able to report that as something else we had tried.   That fixed my issue though.   Evidently the first credit card was blocked in some manner (we can see that the transations from Sunday have not processed yet).   So if you have the same error message, try using a different payment method.

    Talked to ea rep via chat.   He says that even though it's been 14 hours to wait longer.   It is being fixed(?)  and is a server problem.

    The only other suggestion that I have is to try another browser, if it still gives you the same error, then only EA's customer support can help you. Good luck 🙂

    Tried alternate browser.  Same problem, same error message, same missing fields.  Will try EA support again.

     I know this is a little late but I don't exactly have another payment method. Do you have any other ideas?

    I've been trying to buy the dragonworld gold bundle for 3 DAYS. Guess EA aren't fussed about my money. I've tried deleting my history/caches, deleting my payment methods and re-instating my card, my partners card and paypal. I've tried using my mac and my PC.

    I spoke to a member of the help team (I think the name was Fakia?? I'm terrible with remembering names sorry!) and they said try a different browser. I tried google chrome, firefox and explorer - same problem. They then said that they would get in touch with the system team to fix it. 24 hours later still nothing.

    Is anyone actually managing to buy this thing? 3 days of error messaging is pretty poor customer service, when my account had been checked by Fakia and is fine.

    Facepalming at you EA.
