Sims 3 stuck finalizing

Question

mine says all the expansions are 'finalizing', when i try to open sims 3 the university life expansion says that an error occurred. i have the limited edition one and my account had a weird purge of half my expansion packs years ago that Origin and EA couldn't help me with. I have no option to update, or repair sims 3. I don't want to uninstall and have to get rid of an expansion pack especially since all of them are still finalizing.&nbsp;

it's a refurbished Macbook Pro 15.4", from 2014 that i just got a week or so ago. bootcamp doesn't really like it/windows won't run on it or acknowledge the driver bootcamp gave me.&nbsp;

I had like 2 or 3 more but idk why they deleted, either it was me resetting my computer (not this one) after a virus or from inactivity of the account (i made a lot of accounts with different emails cause i forgot the emails).&nbsp; Some that got deleted were from the starter pack so they were stuff packs and i don't mind that much but still i payed for it. I can't even attend parties in the University life, it just says there is a party and no one is home at the location of it. But the sims still yell at my sim for missing the party XD

@RainbowRebel23&nbsp; I split your comment into its own thread, since you have so much else going on here, and some of it is specific to your computer and install.

To fix the "finalizing" issue, you can run the Origin reset tool for macs:

Given your model of mbp and the packs you have installed, I do think it's best to do a clean uninstall and start from scratch.&nbsp; You'll need to edit the game's .sgr files to force recognition of your graphics card, and you won't know that the edits were successful until the game launches.&nbsp; Then you can install your packs and apply the other two fixes for the unknown error issue.

But if you'd like to go backwards, so to speak, addressing the other two causes of the unknown error first and then attempting the .sgr edits, let me know, and I'll write out the instructions.&nbsp; The downside is that you might still end up needing to wipe everything and start over, but it's your call.
