Sims 3 stuck finalizing
mine says all the expansions are 'finalizing', when i try to open sims 3 the university life expansion says that an error occurred. i have the limited edition one and my account had a weird purge of ...
@RainbowRebel23 I split your comment into its own thread, since you have so much else going on here, and some of it is specific to your computer and install.
To fix the "finalizing" issue, you can run the Origin reset tool for macs:
https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/origin/origin/how-to-reset-origin-on-mac/
Given your model of mbp and the packs you have installed, I do think it's best to do a clean uninstall and start from scratch. You'll need to edit the game's .sgr files to force recognition of your graphics card, and you won't know that the edits were successful until the game launches. Then you can install your packs and apply the other two fixes for the unknown error issue.

And I'm happy to help with the .sgr edits, if you want. Just post the full specs of your mac, along with the device ID of your graphics card. Here's how to find that information:

But if you'd like to go backwards, so to speak, addressing the other two causes of the unknown error first and then attempting the .sgr edits, let me know, and I'll write out the instructions. The downside is that you might still end up needing to wipe everything and start over, but it's your call.
I know this is a super late reply but on the thread you posted my graphic for my MacBook wasn't there and now I'm stuck
@HektikMan What issue are you having? Please describe it in a bit more detail, and list the packs you have installed.
Please also post the full specs of your Mac, including operating system, as described here:
