Sims 3 Update Issues [MAC]

Please download and install the super patch to take you to patch level 1.67. Links are here:

Make sure you download the correct Mac patch for your region if playing from the disc, otherwise you download the digital version.

Hi i tried this and it updated fine however when i went to play it it kept coming up there was an error because there was no cd.

I have a mac with no cd drive. i uninstalled it and reinstalled it to its pre existing non updated ways.

is there anyway i can do so it doesn't get the cd error?

Yes, use the digital download version of the game. You can find instructions here 🙂

this may seem silly but how do i download the ep/sp part in origin?

just a bit confused and nothing seems to be working ☹️

Did you redeem your product codes for the EPs/SPs? After registering them they will show up in your games library. Hover your mouse over the base game and click the i in the pop up window.

Are you using the right superpatch? You should be downloading the digital version - http://llnet.thesims.cdn.ea.com/sims/u/f/sims3/mac/To-9355-1.67.2.024017.tgz

It shouldn't be asking you for a disc if you're downloading the correct patch. Can you try the above link?

hi ive tried that and once it downloaded it and i went to open it i got a notification saying "Unable to expand" "error 1 - operation not permitted"

i tried an unzip thing as some people said it could be that but it didnt work also

It unzips the patch perfectly.
