Sims 3 Voices Are Not Consistent Through Life Stages
Before I begin, I'd just like to say: I like consistency. To me, it's part of what makes The Sims fun for me.
Now, here's my problem. When I go into CAS and make a new family and make them how I want them, it turns out fine. My problem begins when I make a female child Sim with a specific voice and pitch. I normally like to use Voice 2 and I'll push the slider all the way to the right side. I'm one of those people who like to double check and triple check things to make sure I'm satisfied. When I am on the child Sim and switch to Teen, I can hear before I do anything that the voice has reverted back to the default voice, which is not what I wanted. I go into voices and do the same thing I did that I had when the Teen Sim still set to child. I go back and forth between the two to make sure it sounds the same, but it is not. It may not seem like a big deal to a lot of you, but to me, because I like having things consistent in my game, it takes the enjoyment out of the game for me.This only started over the weekend, and I have been on the phone with numerous people from EA in the past 3 days trying to get help. As much as they have been extremely helpful and patient with me, none of the solutions they offered me have worked. I've done a handful of what they suggested: uninstalling and reinstalling the base game, moving The Sims 3 folder out of My Documents and moving it elsewhere in order to generate a new folder, checking for updates and repairing the game via Origin. They even thought it might be a driver issue with my computer, which led me to call the computer manufacturer company, but the drivers were never the issue. I'm at a loss and don't know what else I can do. I should also mention when I first noticed the sound difference, the sound options in the game were at the highest setting. I still have a copy of the base game on a disc (the 2009 version), but I don't know if I should give that a try and get rid of the one in Origin. Please, I need someone to offer something outside the box that I wouldn't think of doing otherwise. I'm really frustrated and would like to get back to enjoying the game as I've had in the past before this happened.
If it is helpful to anyone, I have a PC with Windows 10.
