Sims 3 won't launch
I bought Sims 3 and it won't launch at all. Also the help function and forum sectionn don't work on Origin, I m really unhappy about this! Windows 7 with plenty of oomph!

Looks fine. Can't tell you if your graphics drivers are up-to-date from what you've posted though.

Yeah, I've upgraded my drivers so they're up to date!
As the game is brand new and unplayed surely it has the factory settings!
This is for resetting the user files but yes, if you were never even able to play the game, that most likely won't help.
Maybe adding the sims3launcherw.exe file to DEP will help (don't know though): https://help.ea.com/article/dep-settings-for-sims-3-on-vista-and-windows-7
If that doesn't help either, last resort would be reinstalling the game:
Try uninstalling following the instructions here: http://simswiki.info/wiki.php?title=Game_Help:TS3_Uninstall
Make sure everything Sims is gone from your computer, then reinstall.
All this time I haven't mentioned I got the game on Origin! Does this make any differene?
