Sims leave school for no reason.

So my household has 4 Sims: 2 adults, 1 teen, and 1 child. I entered "Edit Town" during school hours, then when I returned to the game, I found them outside the school, doing their homework, which they'd already done the day before, along with two game-generated Sims doing the same. I tried to get them to return to the school, but I noticed the game considered them to have not completed their homework, meaning I'd have to have them complete it all over again using the "Work on Late Homework" option. This is annoying as I usually use my Sims' time at school to meet/talk to friends. Additionally, this is my teen sim's last day at school, and he needs at least a B for me to choose his next trait, which might not happen if he has to complete his homework all over again. I tried going to the main menu without saving, but I had saved just after leaving "Edit Town", so after exiting without saving, my sims were still outside the school and still had uncompleted homework. How can I solve this?

    @cvjkjgfghjk  Your sim's grades shouldn't drop while they're working on their late homework, so if that's a concern, just let it go and they should be fine.  You can also increase their grade with NRaas MasterController if you want, under (Sim) > Intermediate > Career > School Performane.  The scale is from -100 to 100, with a B running from 30 to 90, I believe.

    If you edited the school lot at all in Edit Town, or perhaps even if you loaded it, it's normal for sims to be kicked out of the building.  Otherwise, perhaps another sim that was in school, whether a student or teacher, was reset as a result of what you did in Edit Town.  When this happens on a rabbithole lot, the other sims on the lot are kicked out of the building, again normal but of course annoying.
