Steam CD key won't redeem

I've been playing Sims 3 on steam for a while but now I wanna move it all to EA but every time I try to redeem Generations and Ambitions it just keeps saying that the code has already been redeemed. All the other codes I have worked it's just these 2 expansions that won't redeem, is there anything I can do to fix that? I bought these expansions like 4 years ago now so it's not like I can get a refund and get new ones.

  • @akocvara313  You'll need to contact EA customer support for help.  Take a screenshot of your Steam library with the nonworking CD Keys showing; you can attach this screenshot when you submit the help request.

    https://help.ea.com/en/contact-us/

I would strongly recommend using the live chat option rather than email.  If you don't see it, change the location in your browser window to U.S. or U.K., or choose a slightly different category of issue.

  • I need help logging into my sims 3 store, I purchased sims 3 through steam because it is more affordable on steam than on EA. Also how do I get my sims 3 on my steam account to show up on my EA account if I have already purchased it?

@AprilBotkin  The Sims 3 Store and the EA App share information, so adding your content in one location registers in both.  The Store site can be more reliable than the EA App though.  Sign into the Store site with your EA account information.  Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click Register a Game.  Then enter each of the CD Keys that Steam offers for Sims 3.

If the Store site tells you that you need to register Sims 3 in order to create an account, use the base game CD Key from Steam to do that, then add your packs' codes as described above.

When you're done, be sure to click My Page at the top of the screen and then look for a blue button to redeem your free SimPoints on the left.  You should receive 1,000 each for the base game and World Adventures.

Once you've done this, your EA App game library should contain the Sims 3 base game and all the packs you've registered.

  • hi, I have a problem with my the sims 3 serial code. a friend gave me the base game on steam as a gift but I can't register the game serial on the TheSims3 website, I've tried putting the code in all lowercase and uppercase but it keeps saying that the code is invalid. I don't know what else to do to register the serial in the account

It would be best to use the live chat option rather than email.  If you don't see it, set the location in the lower-right corner of the browser window to U.S. or U.K., or choose a slightly different category of issue.  Sims 3 > PC > Manage my account > Find missing game should work, with the live chat option below the email form.

  • Bought base game through Steam, and went to register. Found CD Key in the settings of the game, copied each four letter group into each corresponding box separately. I get this: The serial code you entered is invalid. Please enter a valid serial code and re-submit.

I try this several times, log out, log back in multiple times and try again, same issue each time. I also tried to log in with different details, wondering if perhaps the game was recognised through different log in information. Nope!

I think the Key itself might be faulty. Could I be provided with a new one?

    Thanks!
