Hiya @Tootles04 @sim3fan13132 @13freyja @breath2death
Thanks for letting us know about this, if you could provide an EA Error Report ID in this thread they greatly aid us in determining the root cause of these issues.

I am calm down now, and I understand there is a way to fix it by deleting certain files from the Sims 3 directory, but no one should have to resort to such extremities- Creeper5455482 years agoSeasoned Ace
I know this is old but any news on this. I've been hoping that we have news on this since people on the sims 3 site has been having issues with this. Myself included. I will be happy to share this thread to them so that they can post on this issue. More people the better. Some have moved to the steam version because of this issue. I will share this thread with them.

@Creeper545548 This is an old issue with several causes, so there's no one fix or way to prevent it. I'm not sure what you're looking for, but if you'd like help with the issue on your own system, let me know whether deleting SigsCache helps and whether the content has actually disappeared, i.e. whether the .ebc files are still intact in DCCache.

@EA_Cade I don't understand why this thread is marked as solved, with you stating that the EA app update fixed the issue almost two years ago, when there's clearly people still experiencing this. I don't even have the words to explain how bad this feels as a consumer, to have content that I purchased (not inexpensively) over 10 years to suddenly be unavailable (in a game-breaking way if you were playing in store worlds, which I was), because of a forced change to a new launcher. I have spent literal days trying to get my game to work, meticulously redownloading store content only for it disappear a few days later. I've tried on a clean Sims 3 folder many times and the issue persists.
This issue is experienced only by users of the EA app. Currently, our only legal option for a true fix is to switch to playing on Steam (requiring buying the game and all expansions again- out of the question for most- and on principle I will not pay EA more money for a problem they created). The loyal, paying players are getting the absolute short end of the stick, while the people who got their game illegally are getting to happily enjoy their game. It's honestly a slap in the face.
Is there any insight you can give us? Is a fix still being worked on? Or should we start requesting refunds for all store items purchased?
