@Syannaxx Thanks for letting me know, and yes, it sometimes seems like that's the only fix. You can try powercycling your router, which might help if the router is the problem but won't if the issue is with your ISP.

@puzzlezaddict Hi! I just want to let you know that your methods worked. Im not sure which one worked because I did all of them at once because Sims kept freezing at “Connecting…” and then I would have to force shut down my MacBook and I didn’t want to keep doing that over and over again if one method didn’t work. So, I changed my password and removed special characters, then I deleted the [your email] file under documents. Then, I cleared my cache and history on Google Chrome. And then finally, I went into the documents folder, and dragged the Sims folder out onto my desktop and then launched the game. Also, I am playing off-line (I logged into Origin but went offline). Doing all of these things worked. I haven’t been able to play in almost a year so thank you.

Yes, clearly some internet issue. I just turned my wifi off lol
