The sims 3 "error during startup"

To correct

this error comes right away when i try to open the launcher

Also now the the sims 3 folder in documents is completely empty : (

@Lauisee  Please uninstall Sims 3 with Revo Uninstaller (the free version is fine).  I wrote this guide for Sims 4, but it's the same process:

If that doesn't help, try again in a new admin Windows account, the idea being maybe it'll work now that you've clean-uninstalled the game.  Make sure the account is local, as in, not linked to your Microsoft account or any email address.

@Lauisee  Do you use a VPN?  If so, try disabling it.

The one service to leave enabled is the EABackgroundService, which the EA App needs in order to run.  Disable the rest as described.

When you reboot your computer, go through the Task Manager's background processes list shutting down any service that doesn't absolutely need to be running, for example anything from MSI Afterburner to RGB software might still be enabled.  If you accidentally kill a critical process and it doesn't restart on its own, just reboot your computer again.

Don't open anything other than Sims 3 and the EA App while testing, not even a browser window.

@Lauisee  Do you have another computer you could test with?  This error isn't usually account-related, but I suppose it could be, and having the same issue with your EA account but on a different computer would be strong evidence that the problem is your account.  You could also test a different EA account on your computer, if you have a friend or family member who owns Sims 3.

The game worked really well but after the update it stopped working.

And on my old(not anymore working) pc it worked very well
