The SIms 3 game crashes after unstalling Seasons on patch 1.69

Maybe someone here can help me.

I've installed my disc copy of the Seasons EP and now the game crashes whenever I try to move in a new family into a new town. I've already checked my downloads -- everything was running absolutely fine before I installed Seasons. I even took out the Mods I installed just before and no dice--the game still crashes. I do not want to remove the Seasons EP, any ideas?
