The Sims 3 Season keeps crashing on my MAC HELP!!!

I had the same problem with my mac 😕mileysad:

I have the EPs World Andventure, High-End loft stuff, Ambitions, Late NIght, Outdoor Living Stuff, Generations, Town life Stuff, Pets, Showtime, Supernatural and Seasons.

Thats a lot ! 

I started the game and could only play like for 15-20 min. and i saved my game like every 3 min. wich was really annoying!!!

I never ejected my disk.

On Wendesday i ejected it and yesterday i played for over an hour wich is awesome 

Maybe you should try that if you dont eject your disk

Is there anything we could do to activate EA to respond to us? I've tried a couple of things already, e-mailing, forums, calling.. Nothing seems to work and I think this is unacceptable. My game isn't working properly for months now, and I want some answers! Finally! And I'm not the only one. It's clear by now that no mods, no packages, no whatever downloads are causing this trouble, it's the game and the EP's as provided by EA and they either should do something about that, or don't claim you can play Sims 3 on your iMac/MacBook as well, since it's not true.. Everytime I open Create-A-Sim my screen freezes and the game dies. I'm annoyed, mad, disappointed, etc.

I bought a MacBook last year because I thought it would be the perfect game computer! I still think it is, but it's not working on EA Games.

It's truely unacceptable EA you're not responding to us. Can't we collect us all and sue them in some way? Or bring this into attention otherwise? Go to the media? It might sound a little too much, but come on, this radio silence is out of proportion right now. Even admitting something's wrong with the EA/Apple combination would at least be SOMETHING. Everything is better than silence. 

I just purchased Sims 3 Unversity and I unstill and reinstall all of my games and I can't even get  the game to load because as soon as I click to play the "unknown error occurred" comes up. Can someone please help if you know what's going on becasue I pay to much money for these games and for my labtop to not be able to play them. UGH!!! this is sucks... 

I've been having the same problem. I can't remember if it started when I got Seasons, but it annoys me so **bleep** much.
I've never had a problem with my game crashing. Maybe once in a while. But now...

It keeps freezing, not reacting and eventually crashing.
I've checked with my dad (because of graphic card, etc.) and we are pretty much up to date. We have double the RAM (Video and normal), more than 600 GB free space. I've reinstalled everything. Chronologically. I've been playing absolutely vanilla. I've turned down the graphics to the lowest settings. I've turned off store mode (or whatever it is called). I've closed EVERYTHING in the background. Even my printer server. I've played offline. I've tried absolutely everything. It keeps crashing after like 20/30 minutes. I am absolutely desperate for help. I thought that the newest patch might help. It didn't.
So PLEASE, let's keep trying and annoy EA as much as possible!

Same problem, on a mac system that corresponds to the supported EA Specs:

Late 2008 MacBook Pro, 2.53 Intel Core 2 Duo, 8 GB 1067 MHz DDR3, NVIDIA GeForde 9600M GT 512 MB, 750 GB Hybrid HD running Lion 10.7.5.

Flawless performance until EP09

I am pretty much getting the same problem i can't even last playing it for 10 mins it just shuts down.. I do have lots and lots of add ons that i have loaded ...

I really wonder how can EA still look at this since November. What a shame! And do you really believe that you will update us with any new information? I don't. If you did, we would have already been informed at least 4 months ago!

Is it that hard to solve problems for such a big company? How do you even dare to release the games by printing "compatible with Mac" on the boxes? 

Seriously, this is getting really boring and annoying. Pay 500USD and this is the support you get.

This is one of their longest running franchises and even the Windows players are having crashes and lockups with no response from EA to them either.  This issue has been going on for months and its as if they don't even want to be bothered.  And they wonder why they were rated Worst Company in America for 2012.

Don't believe this either. I used to be a big Sims fan, I even had my own Dutch fansite which was really, really popular. It's all gone, thanks to EA not helping us at all. Played the Sims for over ten years, I guess it's time to close this chapter of my life, sell my games and don't bother about EA ever again in my life. Seriously, I'm pissed, and I've to count to ten many times not to curse the people behind this ridiculous company. 

EA, because of this you make 10 years of fun playing completely undone, all at once. My last deed might be going to my neighbors at work. I work at the most popular television company in the Netherlands, and our neighbors make items about customer satisfaction about certain products. It might be time to give EA some attention. So long, suckers. Thanks for not helping at all 🙂
