That's it.
First, I spoke to someone that looked into my account and said there was a technical glitch that cancelled my pre order last night and that my money will be refunded in 5 business days and for me to re-order it. I am not re-ordering it. This completely annhilated the reason for pre-ordering a game.
Second, it is rare to find me in a sour mood to where I get this upset. The reason is because the professional points have gone down the potty! Why did I "hear" from a friend that this glitch issue was posted on facebook? Why is it that NONE of the affected users were contacted privately via email about it instead? Facebook?? Seriously? Origin has their own website and The Sims 3 has their own website. Whose brilliant idea was it to go on Facebook in order to let people know? Take care of your own first.
Third, I have yet to see this issue posted officially on their respective websites. If it was an attempt to reach out to unregistered users, it was not a good business decision. Of anything, they are probably thinking to just go to their local stores and pay the middle man because it's more convenient. By all means, feel free to correct me if I am wrong :robotvery-happy:. Even if this is not really the case, the least that can be done is to compose a mass letter and send via email to those whom actually pre-ordered. This way, they'd know personally so they wouldn't have to keep wondering about it. Way to make us feel like valued customers.
Again, I apologize for my bitter tone and harsh etiquette. I hope you will all understand this. There is nothing proper about using Facebook and Twitter for something like this involving users transactions. This is not directed at anyone here as I am not judging individuals. The lack of professionalism in communication is just not what I had expected it to be.
